Tapes |
18.02.03 |
CD contains
45 minutes of a performance at Club Montmartre, September 3, 1964, and
another 20 minutes recorded in the studio of the Danish radio a week later.
Both sessions were prepared for broadcast (i.e. the tapes were already
edited and include occasional presentations in Danish) and feature the
little-documented quartet formed of Don Cherry, Gary Peacock and Sunny
Murray. |

Brotzmann,Peter |
Live
At Nefertiti |
01.10.02 |
This
is excellent Brotzmann through and through, captured live at a nightclub
in Sweden in early 1999. The saxophonist is in top form, direct, powerful,
and charged by the backing of Swedish drummer Peeter Uuskyla and Danish
electric guitarist Peter Friis Nielsen. |

Live
At the Unity Temple |

A strong
live set recorded at the Unity Temple near Chicago, this performance was
released on the adventurous Swedish label Ayler Records as a precursor
to saxophonist Noah Howard's first tour of Sweden. Working with pianist
Bobby Few, bassist Wilber Morris, and drummer Calyer Duncan |

Live
At Glen Miller Cafe Vol.1 |
21.01.03 |
These
two long tracks were taken from separate sets performed in concert at
the famed Glenn Miller Cafe in Stockholm, Sweden.Thirty-minute pieces
performed freestyle by sax, bass, and drums may be intimidating or appear
limiting, but in the hands of Jemeel Moondoc, Hamid Drake, and William
Parker, the time flies by |

At the Plough |
21.01.03 |
These
seven tracks were recorded live at the Plough in London in 1979, and if
the sound quality is not up to par, the musicians nonetheless sustain
a strong set for more than an hour. Stevens backs Mike Osborne on alto
sax, with a young Paul Rogers on string bass. |
